Pitong Lawa, Pitong Sining (7 Lawa, 7 Sining)
My wife handed me a flyer about an arts festival and I think a lot of people, specially those who are interested in arts and culture, may want to know about. This particular arts festival is titled Pitong Lawa, Pitong Sining and it includes the following activities; Theater/Play Competition, Chorale Competition, Dance Competition, Painting Competing, Sculpture Competition, Literature and Film Showings.

The flyer describes Pitong Lawa, Pitong Sining as "a Four Day Arts Festival focusing on the Preservation and Promotion of the Seven lakes of San Pablo City as an Important Tourist Destination". The festival will be held at Ultimart Shopping Mall, San Pablo City, Laguna on October 27 - 30, 2011 and the group behind it is The Barangay ni Jose Association, Inc. (BJAI).
I think the arts festival is free (except maybe for the film showings) but there is a limited 300 Pesos Donor Priority Passes to all film showings and event activities which can be availed by anyone. If you are going to see all the films featured in the festival then 300 Pesos will probably save you some money and, I think they'll be showing at least 13 independent films.
The films are:
» Gulong
» Kamoteng Kahoy
» Ligo Na U, Lapit Na Me
» The Last Viewing
» Litsonero
» Donor
» Lovebirds
» Two Funerals
» Agaton & Mindy
» Bente
» Jay
» Fuschia
» Dead Na Si Lolo
If you are thinking of checking it out then below is a picture of the Art Festival's Calendar of Activities. Simply click on it to enlarge. According to my wife, you will also find the Calendar of Activities or schedule posted all over Ultimart Shopping Plaza.
If you would like to learn more about the event or the festival then you can do so by visiting their Facebook Events Page, click here.
