Pansit Bihon - Mang Inasal Versus Prosperity

A few days ago, my wife and I went to Mang Inasal Ultimart. We ordered 2 Special Halo-Halo and 1 Pansit Bihon. If my memory is correct, both food items were priced at about P50 each which is still very affordable.

The next day, my wife and I went to Prosperity. We ordered 2 Special Halo-Halo and 1 Pancit Bihon as well. Including discounts, the entire order cost us about P200. The 2 Special Halo-Halo cost P50 each and the Pansit Bihon cost P100 but it was good for two people.

For this post, I will compare Mang Inasal's Pansit Bihon to Prosperity's Pansit Bihon. I will compare their Special Halo-Halo in a different post.

First, let me tell you some things about Mang Inasal's Pansit Bihon.

Pros:

• it wasn't greasy

Cons:

• the taste was very bland
• the vegetables were tasteless
• the serving size was very small

As for Prosperity's Pansit Bihon.

Pros:

• it was very flavorful
• the meat or pork on top of the pansit was very tasty
• the vegetables were cooked nicely
• the serving size was good for two but it was four times the serving size of Mang Inasal's Pansit Bihon

Cons:

• it was a little bit greasy

Based on my personal experience after eating Pansit Bihon from these two places, I can honestly say that Prosperity's Pansit Bihon is much better than Mang Inasal's Pansit Bihon.

Of course, Mang Inasal in Ultimart has a better ambiance than Prosperity and it's also much cooler but if you want a more flavorful and tasty Pansit Bihon then Prosperity is the better choice between the two.
