2012 Coco Festival Float Parade
This year's Coco Festival Float Parade is more colorful than ever. Well, that is if you consider shades of brown and green colorful because a coconut doesn't has that many colors. Why is this important? It is important because the floats used in the Float Parade were all decorated or made from the different parts of a coconut tree. That is why you won't get that many colors from it but, still, most of the floats came out nicely.
The Floats Parade had floats created by various businesses and organizations in San Pablo City. If my math is correct then there were 19 floats in the parade. Obviously, San Pablo City has more businesses and organizations but not all of them entered or participated in the event. I'm not exactly sure if 19 is the correct number of floats in the Float Parade because I only based it on the number of floats I was able to take pictures of. I apologize if I missed any.
This year, my two most favorite floats were the Dragon Coconut Float by SM City San Pablo and the big float that looks like a Bayong. The Dragon Float was simply awesome. The creativity and work done to it must have been staggering. As for the Bayong Float, it was also very creative and it was kinda conveying a message to everyone.
Surprisingly, the Coco Carnival Queen and Floats Parade started and ended without any problems from the viewers. From where I was located, the people stayed behind the human barricade created by students under the NSTP. This allowed the parade to pass by continuously and without problems. I'm not sure if the same is true at the main stage area but, at my location, the people were orderly.
Below are the floats that I was able to pictures of. Again the pictures are not of the best quality so please bear with it.
Anyway, did you watch the Float Parade? If you did then which float do you think should win? Also, don't forget to share your thoughts or opinions about the recent Float Parade. Please post your comments and opinions below.
