SM City San Pablo’s United Nations’ Day Celebration (Press Release)
The month of October marks the declaration of friendship and partnership of nations united with a mission to preserve peace and advance justice in the world – the founding of the United Nations.
Celebrated across the globe, countries commemorate the special day in their own creative ways. Here in the Philippines, United Nations’ Day is celebrated through a showcase of colourful flags, nationalistic costumes and synergy of cultures. Let us remember the day of peace and celebrate oneness on U.N. Day happening this October 23, 2015 only at SM City San Pablo.
This is a perfect opportunity to teach children about different cultures and get them familiar with the national costumes of various countries. SM Supermalls will hold a contest among public and private schools for the best national costume. The contest is open to students from nursery to kindergarten and one boy and one girl will receive the Best in Costume Award. The school that has the most number of students will be awarded with spectacular prizes.
What else can signify U.N. Day other than colourful national costumes from around the globe? Feast your eyes on a vibrant centerpiece of SM City San Pablo highlighting the kid in Filipino costume in pabebe wave. See you at SM City San Pablo as we celebrate United Nations’ Day!
