San Pablo City Is Ready For This Year's Coco Festival Celebration
It looks like the City of Seven Lakes, San Pablo City, is ready for this year's Coco Festival celebration. The Main Stage at the Plaza is up, the red and yellow streamers and banners of San Miguel Beer covers the length of Rizal Avenue, the vendors with their bargain items for sale occupy some of the streets, San Miguel Beer adorned mini-stages are place at different locations and these are just some of the things that you will see along Rizal Avenue.
In fact, the length of Rizal Avenue is covered with all kinds of banners, streamers, posters and other kinds of advertising materials from San Miguel Beer to Local Politicians. Fortunately, the traffic along Rizal Avenue this morning was very light considering some of the streets connecting to it are either blocked or semi-occupied by vendors. As for San Miguel Beer, I guess its a main sponsor because you'll literally see its presence everywhere.
Events in the schedule that you definitely must not miss are the Street Dancing Competition, the Lakan and Mutya ng San Pablo Coronation Night and probably the Fireworks display. Well, those are just my favorites. If you want to see all of the activities and events in the schedule then you are more than welcome to do so.
The Coco Festival is a week long celebration. So, if you missed one activity or event in the schedule then you'll still have plenty of opportunities to see the others. Also, Rizal Avenue is closed every night to give way to "Inuman Sa Kalye". Ha ha ha!
I don't really know what they call it but "Inuman Sa Kalye" perfectly describes the night time activity of the Coco Festival. Yeah, entertainment are available on the main stage and the mini-stages but if you look around Rizal Avenue at night then you will know what I mean by "Inuman Sa Kalye".
Anyway, there are lots of activities and events for you to see and take part in this year's celebration of the Coco Festival. Just check the schedule of activities to see what's happening when and where it will happen. I'll update it with more details if I can find any.
