San Pablo City Market Area, New Year's Eve
New Year's Eve is a very very busy day for everyone. Here in San Pablo City, hundreds of people flocked the Public Market Area to buy things for their Media Noche. The streets around San Pablo City Shopping Mall were crowded with all kinds of people. Young, old, rich, poor and all of them were there for the same thing.
Obviously, the streets were also crowded with various vendors. There were fireworks and firecracker vendors, fruit vendors, toy vendors, food vendors, cake vendors, vegetable vendors, meat vendors and others. Getting pushed, shoved or bumped was only natural because of the amount of people who were buying and selling things.
Of course, since it's New Year's Eve, people buying and selling fireworks and firecrackers were everywhere. Fireworks are somewhat fine because they explode up in the air producing beautiful patterns of light and colors. Firecrackers are somewhat dangerous cause some vendors are selling really powerful ones that are very loud but can cause extreme harm if not handled carefully.
In any case, here are pictures taken in the afternoon of December 31, 2012 around the Public Market Area.
Most of the vendors in the pictures above will stay until the end of the City Fiesta. In fact, A. Flores Street, M. Basa Street, A. Bonifacio Street and one other street are still filled with vendors and stalls. People looking for things to buy can simply walk around and visit each stall.
