Mime or a Living Statue? San Pablo City Shopping Mall

Yesterday, we saw a person who was dressed like a mime artist but acted like a Living Statue at San Pablo City Shopping Mall. This person was standing in-front of the Shopping Mall motionless but he will move if someone drops some money in his bag. The first time we saw him, he was just standing like a stiff rag doll because he kinda looked like a stiff rag doll. When we saw him again, some kids dropped a few coins in his bag that made him move around and this was when I took the pictures below (more pictures after the jump).

As you can see from the picture above, he was definitely enjoying the attention that he was getting and he is making some money from it as well. It is definitely NOT a bad gig. Obviously, the people around him were enjoying his act and he definitely deserves the few coins he was getting. These form of street entertainment is very popular in other countries and I think it's an honest way of making some money.

Here are some more photos for your viewing pleasure. :D

This guy also reminded me of an episode in Mr. Bean The Animated Series where Mr. Bean met up with a Living Statue and a Mime Artist. The Living Statue messed with Mr. Bean by not moving even though Mr. Bean had already dropped a coin in his coin pouch. Eventually, Mr. Bean took the Living Statue home and put him on the fountain in-front of Mr. Bean's apartment building.
