Is It Really Going To Be A Parking Lot? O_o
Yesterday was Mother's Day and I hope everyone was able to give their Mothers the best day ever, or at least until next year's Mother's Day Celebration. It was also Sunday, the St. Paul First Hermit Cathedral had a lot of people yesterday but that was not surprising at all. What was surprising yesterday was the scene outside the Cathedral. It was surprising because the Cathedral ground was filled with parked vehicles. The once green and beautiful Cathedral Ground has transformed into something like a Commercial Parking Lot.
I still don't know if the rumor about the Cathedral Ground turning into a Parking Lot is true or not but if it was true then, yesterday, I saw how it will look like and it wasn't a pretty site. They'll be turning something green and beautiful into something commercial-looking and UGLY. I kinda regret not having my digital camera with me yesterday but I was also glad because of Typhoon Bebeng. It wasn't a strong typhoon, Laguna was only under Signal No. 1, but I don't think I would get a good picture because of the rain.
I will try to get a picture of the Cathedral Ground with parked vehicles in the following weeks to come but, for now, here is a picture of the Cathedral Ground without the Park and covered with gravel. To give you an idea, just take a good look at the picture below and imagine it with different vehicles parked on it. It was raining so try to picture it wet and a little bit muddy as well. LOL!
Anyway, at least the statues are still there but I do miss the green grass that blanketed the old Cathedral Ground. I guess, "green is not in" with the Catholic Church. I know, they can paint the ground green. That will make it look more nature friendly. Just kidding, of course.
