Senakulo 2011, San Pablo City
Last Friday, we went out to watch this year's Good Friday Procession but, before that, there was also the Senakulo which was performed by the youth of San Pablo City and directed by Mr. Cedre. The Senakulo is a yearly Catholic tradition performed during the Lenten Season. It's a public dramatization of the last days of our Lord Jesus Christ here on Earth.
I believe the Senakulo this year started at the City Plaza and it ended at the Cathedral Ground but the Crucifixion was performed at the City Plaza as well. Of course, no one was actually crucified because the participants in these Senakulo were only kids. My seven year old son made a comment about it but I told him that it was only re-enactment.
Below are some more pictures of the Senakulo here in San Pablo City. The pictures are in no particular order.
